To: Hard Wire ANYTHING (the car)! E39 Edition soooo hare and exposed wires, and I spend too much time dicking around on the internet, and I decided that I would make a video to help good people, like others did for me. Here are some other useful links Bimmerforums.com Ad-Protection: How to break down tinyurl.com BSW Interior (and much more!): Www.youtube.com Droid Dock: www.amazon.com comment, and I would add something else might need!

@iluvprady yeah totally, I did that with my e36, but with a car like this one I like the added peace of mind of having a fuse back there. Its all preference. If you do go that route, splice into the? leads so as to not damage the actual lighter itself. You could get an inline fuse from home depot/lowes I suppose and it would do the same thing.

@ReaganSmash3000 is there a way to directly hardwire it to the car’s inbuilt cigarette lighter and avoid going to the fuse box? I was wondering if i can splice the charger? and connect the +ve and -ve to the back of car charger or something…

Replyiluvprady says:March 3, 2012 at 8:13 am

yeah? im sorry with splitters i meant cigarette lighters which u bought…

ReplyReaganSmash3000 says:March 3, 2012 at 8:45 am

@iluvprady I’m not really sure what you mean by “splitters”
but it runs like this: Fuse box > lead > Cigarette lighter(s) > Car Charger >? Phone Dock

Replyiluvprady says:March 3, 2012 at 9:18 am

So the direct lead from the? fuse box was connected to the splitters and dock wires were connected to the car charger and then u connected the car charger to the splitter. Am i right?
